Tokyo Marui MTR16 Gas Blowback Rifle

The multi-tactical rifle 16” or MTR16 is a rifle built upon the M4 platform and was designed for tactical shooting and competition shoots. There was a need in the market to make an adaptable M4 which is significantly lighter and capable of being manipulated at speed whilst still providing great reliability and accuracy. The MTR16 fulfilled these requirements and a great rifle that is respected and admired by the shooting community was born.

The MTR16 by Tokyo Marui is a stunning replica of the real rifle and has been built to the highest standards and with legendary craftsmanship as expected from the Marui engineers! Visually the gun itself is stunning, with black polymer and metal parts, interlaced with silver accents throughout the gun. Notably the most impressive sight is the Titanium Nitride silver coloured barrel which has been milled and fluted to give an impressive look and to keep the overall weight down. The upper and lower receivers have been coated in Cerakote which means the gun is incredibly resistant to scratches and will last a lifetime!

Internally the MTR16 houses Tokyo Marui’s ZET system which is a revolutionary gas blowback system which increase blowback, efficiency and durability of the internal mechanism. The MTR also incorporates a new 19mm piston which helps to improve cycling and blowback and has features such as piston absorbers and bolt rollers to help reduce the burden on internal parts. The MTR16 also features a barrel clamp mechanism, adjustable hop-up, a 400mm inner barrel and a 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel allowing you to add a suppressor or tracer unit.

The MTR16 has been designed for tactical shooting and therefore the ergonomics are fantastic. You can adjust the stock position and also adjust the butt plate to be either convex or concave depending on your shooting style. You will also find an M-LOK ready handguard and included with the gun are three M-LOK rails which allow you to adapt the rifle and add any accessories you may want. To be a multifunctional rifle, you will also find ambidextrous controls such as charging handle, fire selector and bolt release.
