PolarStar Hop Up ThingBet you cant guess what this Thing is for. Its a hop up, or a paperweight, or maybe a very expensive fidget spinner, but were pretty sure its a hop up. Actually, it’s a 6061 T6 Aircraft Aluminium hop up. We know, “Aircraft Grade” is the favourite buzzword of every airsoft company trying to make a 15 part sound like it belongs on a SpaceX rocket. But they actually machine these Things in-house at PolarStar to +/- 0.002″ tolerances because theyre tired of seeing high-end builds ruined by sloppy, off-spec cast parts. They used this stuff for wing spars and fuselage skins, and now youre using it for your hop up. Its probably overkill, but “overkill” is basically our middle name.Look, we could play the industry game and trademark some stupid marketing words or pay a YouTuber to tell you this Thing will magically double your range while they shill you a generic flashlight. PolarStar dont play that. They designed this with a zero-BS focus on the stuff that actually matters: consistency, fitment, and air-seal. No fluff, no “proprietary magic,” just a straight-forward, precision-engineered tool that does exactly what its supposed to do every time you pull the trigger.The heart of this Thing is PolarStar’s TDC (Top Dead Centre) slider system. Unlike the old-school sliders that shift if you sneeze on them, our TDC arm applies perfectly vertical pressure for a consistent flight path.PolarStar have modularized the design so you can actually tune the fitment for both AEG and HPA builds. While we have some serious upgrades in the workslike interchangeable gearbox lips to kill “mid-cap syndrome” and barrel slot wing bushings to eliminate rotational wobblethose will be available for purchase down the line as optional accessories. For now, we’ve focused on the core essentials. If your hop up is snug and your nozzle is centred, your gun shoots straight. Weve included a 0.305 gearbox lip (standard for most AEGs), a 3x4mm round nub, and even an ARO (Axel Retaining O-ring) Tool because we know installing those tiny 1x1mm O-rings is a pain in the ass without the right gear. We also threw in 5 shimming O-rings and a moulded barrel clip to keep everything tight.
